A schedule is a category the Government uses to define products and services. In total, there are 43 schedules. The requirements vary from schedule to schedule, but in general, a company must have been in business for at least one year, and have a geographic footprint at least as large as their state. Currently two schedules (IT and Total Solutions for Security) have cooperative purchase agreements –meaning they can be used to sell to any level of government. There is legislation in the works to expand cooperative purchasing to several other GSA Schedules.
